Wow, another year has come and gone. As we prepare to say goodbye to 2011 and hello to 2012, I'd like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and a great 2012! Thank you to everyone who has been supportive to me this year. I released a new album (The Road To Euphoria), had a new baby daughter (Julianna Marina Sistos) and got a chance to meet many wonderful people at gigs and in the studio.
I've got some exciting things lined up for 2012, including my first official Dan Sistos concert on May 19 at the Falcon Theater in Toluca Lake, CA. Stay tuned for more info regarding this exciting gig! Until next year - FRIENDS, FAMILY AND MUSIC!
I was recently asked to perform at the house of Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith for a fundraiser for President Obama. Of course I jumped at the opportunity! The President was in attendance and I even got a chance to hear him speak. I was honored and humbled by the whole experience which also included guests celebrities Eva Longoria, George Lopez and the mayor of Los Angeles, Antonio Villaraigosa. I was even interviewed by NBC News before the event. What a night!
I've been very fortunate to play guitar on some great recordings lately. A few days ago I met up with producer Carlos Rodriguez at NightBird studios in Hollywood to record guitars for an upcoming Juan Gabriel album and an upcoming India album. We had a lot of fun drinking coffee and geeking out on all the studio gear. A fun time indeed!

I also met with my longtime friend, composer Arturo Solar to record guitars for his amazing movie score, Beautiful Faces. This is a great documentary movie that centers around the attempts of doctors in Mexico to treat children who are born with facial disfigurements. An incredible movie and an unbelievable score that will surely touch your heart. I am so honored to be a part of this. Definitely check it out once it's released.
I also met with composer Jesper Kyd to play guitars on the next chapter of the Assassin's Creed video game series, Assassin's Creed Revelations. This adventure takes place in old Constantinople and Jesper's score reflects all the passion and chaos that was happening at the time. I had a great time playing acoustic guitar, nylon guitar and even Greek Bouzouki on the score. This game comes out November 15 and is sure to knock every one's socks off!

If you happened to watch the series finale of HBO's "Entourage" last night you might have noticed a familiar face. Yes, that was me playing guitar backing up Italian opera sensations Il Volo. We had a great time shooting the scene. But what was even more fun was the impromptu jam sessions we had in between takes. We busted out a great version of Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" that had the whole cast and crew singing and dancing. Good times indeed...
